Postdoc Position at Janelia Farm Research Campus: Drosophila neural circuits and behavior
We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to take part in a functional screen to identify elements of the neuronal machinery for larval crawling in Drosophila. We are interested in candidates with enthusiasm and experience in the analysis of neural mechanisms underlying behaviour. A good knowledge of fly genetics would be an advantage but is not critical. The successful candidate will be expected to work relatively independently for long periods, so a high degree of motivation and excellent organisational skills are essential. The screen will be based at the Janelia Farm Research Campus http://www.hhmi.org/janelia. If interested, please send a CV, names of 3 references, and sample publications to Professor K. VijayRaghavan (vijay@ncbs.res.in) or Professor Michael Bate (cmb16@hermes.cam.ac.uk) by August 21, 2009.
