Post-doctoral research and teaching opportunity -- manakins, social networks, sexual selection, lek mating systems, tropics. University of Wyoming.
I will be on sabbatical and using NSF-funded "buyout time" to work on long term data on cooperative male-male courtship in lek-matLong-tailed Manakins (Aves, Pipridae) in Costa Rica. I'm looking for a post-doc who could collaborate with me on social network analyses as well as replace me for teaching one or more of my courses (Population Ecology, Behavioral Ecology, Genetic Markers). Check my website (http://www.uwyo.edu/dbmcd/mcd.html) to see current publications and statement of interests. I have lived in 7 states and 7 countries, and I like Laramie, WY as well as any of them. We have a great department in the least-populated state in the country.
