from the dept.
The Biology Department at Randolph-Macon College seeks a broadly trained Ecologist for a one-year full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning September 1, 2009. Teaching responsibilities include participating in an innovative two-semester introductory biology course that emphasizes active learning, an upper-level general ecology class in the Spring, and an upper-level course in one’s area of specialty in the Fall. If you are considering a career at a primarily undergraduate institution this would be a great opportunity to gain significant experience as a "regular" faculty member for a year. Randolph-Macon College is a Phi Beta Kappa liberal arts and sciences institution of approximately 1100 students and is located in Ashland, Virginia. Please send a CV and the names and contact information of three references to Dr. Jim Foster at jfoster@rmc.edu. Applications will be reviewed on a continuing basis until the position is filled.
