The Department of Psychology at Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a visiting Assistant Professor in Comparative Psychology/ Animal Behavior beginning July 2008. Position is renewable for up to 3 years based on evidence of good teaching and/or continued administrative approval. Preferred candidates will be prepared to teach Animal Behavior and Conditioning and Learning. Teaching load is five courses per academic year and will include participation in the College’s general education requirement and in the department’s interdisciplinary programs. Successful candidates will hold a Ph.D. or offer assurance that the degree is near completion, present evidence of excellence in teaching and research, and have a strong interest in initiating and guiding student research. Review of applicants will begin on April 1, 2008, although applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Applicants should send curriculum vitae, statements of teaching and research interests, graduate transcript, selected reprints/preprints, teaching evaluation forms, and three letters of recommendation to John Campbell, Chair, Department of Psychology, Franklin & Marshall College, P.O.
