This sixth edition of our directory relies heavily on the previous editions and the fine work done by others to build and maintain this database. The Education committee of the Animal Behavior Society is committed to providing this guide as a resource for all who are interested in pursuing graduate study in some area of animal behavior. The information provided here is not a complete list of persons working in the area of animal behavior but was compiled from responses to questionnaires sent out to the membership of the Animal Behavior Society in 1995. The new and revised information was integrated into the fifth edition of this directory to produce the current document.
Key assistance was provided by Natasha Boelter, who processed most of the new information from the 1995 questionnaire. I also wish to thank all members of the Education Committee for their efforts in proof reading and getting the committee's other work done. Without their assistance, a new edition could not have been published.
Inevitably, inaccuracies, errors, omissions, and other "gremlins" will be found in the final copy. The Education Committee regrets these and will appreciate having them brought to our attention.
