The Department of Animal & Poultry Science (APS) at the University of Guelph invites applications from outstanding candidates for one five-year, contractually-limited Assistant Professor position specializing in Poultry Welfare. The successful candidate will have a strong research background in poultry welfare, or related research that could be applied to the scientific assessment of poultry welfare issues. Expertise with techniques from behaviour-genetics, behavioural neuroscience or stress physiology will be considered favourably. The successful candidate will develop and lead an innovative research program in Poultry Welfare, will engage in research that complements the activities of the Poultry Welfare Research Centre and will collaborate with other core faculty of animal welfare scientists in the Campbell Centre for the Study of Animal Welfare (CCSAW). < Field Assistants Needed for Ground Squirrel Behavior Study | Summer research internship at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory in Gothic, Colorado. >
