LEAD INSTRUCTOR AND DIRECTOR OF LABORATORIES The Kenyon College Biology Department seeks applicants with broad training in biological sciences for a nontenure-track, continuing full-time position as Lead Instructor and Director of Introductory Laboratories. The Lead Instructor has overall responsibility for An Introduction to Experimental Biology (biology 109-110), a yearlong, stand-alone introductory laboratory course with an emphasis on experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing. Responsibilities include teaching two sections of the course per semester, coordinating and organizing instructional materials for all sections of the course, developing and implementing course curriculum with input from fellow faculty, managing course enrollments, and supervising student teaching assistants. Strong organizational skills, creativity, and a commitment to working closely with students and faculty colleagues on a residential campus are important qualifications.
