from the IN THIS ECONOMY! dept. Hi Everyone,I recently graduated with a BS in Geology-Biology from Brown, though the emphasis was more on the geology until my final year when my interests changed. I took a year off hoping to gain some field experience in animal behavior/behavioral ecology before applying to grad schools this fall, but the opportunities have not been easy to come by, especially as I have little actual field experience in animal behavior (but tons in geology/paleontology). So of course I'm in this catch-22, despite being well-learned in ecology and evolutionary biology. I do apologize for this solicitation, but I am extremely eager to get my hands dirty in the field with behavioral studies. I understand many people's funding situations are tough right now, and being a recent college grad, my situation isn't so great either. It might be hard for me to simply work as a volunteer, but I would be happy to work for room and board.Where I lack in experience I make up in my motivation, enthusiasm, and desire to learn. Jonathan Waage at Brown can attest to this.Anyway, if anyone is aware of any opportunities or could offer an opportunity to me, please contact me at kevinmneal [at] gmail [dot] com (or just reply here), and I'll be happy to send you a resume and what-not. Thanks!Kevin < | >
