Position Available: Research TechnicianTulane National Primate Research Center Position Description:Performs a variety of tasks related to behavioral research projects involving nonhuman primates, under the direction of the Principle Investigator. Implement and document the effects of manipulations to social housing on behavioral well-being under a variety of conditions. Assists with the design of data collection procedures; conducts data collection procedures, organizes behavioral and physiological data and maintains organized records. Assists with data analysis and preparation of presentations and manuscripts. Qualifications:Bachelors degree in a related field with two years experience in lab animal medicine or four years experience in lab animal medicine plus certification as an AALAS LAT or six years experience in animal medicine. Previous behavioral research experience and computer skills essential and previous experience working with laboratory primates preferred.
