The Department of Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour at McMaster University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship to commence July 1, 2007, in the area of evolutionary psychology. We construe this area broadly to encompass the full gamut of approaches that apply evolutionary theory to the study of cognition, preferences and behaviour, but for this position we seek a scientist who principally studies humans. The Department of Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour at McMaster University has particular strengths in the areas of animal behaviour, evolutionary psychology, behavioural ecology, neuroscience, development, perception, and cognition. Candidates whose work would complement that of other Department faculty are especially welcome to apply. Candidates should have a Ph.D. and will need to show evidence of a vigorous research program, promise of leadership in their field(s), and commitment to both undergraduate and graduate education. Applicants should send a curriculum vitae, statement of research interests, and copies of up to three representative papers to: Dr. Martin Daly Candidates should also arrange to have three letters of recommendation sent to Dr. Daly.
