We are looking for a volunteer to assist a Ph.D. student in its fields work next spring (april to june 2005). Work will be conducted on wild Przewalski horses in the Cévennes area (southern France). More information available at http://www.tourduvalat.org/news_807.htm

Activities include:

  • Social behaviour sampling,
  • Spatial position recording,
  • Group composition monitoring,
  • Data capture.

Requirements:

  • Must be trained to doing field work,
  • A background in animal behaviour science is optimal,
  • Driving licence recommended.

Logistical support:

  • Accommodation provided,
  • Closest city is Florac (half an hour drive).
