CONSTITUTION (Article 8, Section 1):

Whenever an office becomes vacant or is scheduled to fall vacant, present to the membership by mail thirty days before distribution of ballots the names of qualified individuals willing to serve who are members in good standing.

BYLAWS (Article IV, Section 5):

1. Assemble slate of at least two candidates for each elected office, including the following:

   a. Nominations for the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology division chairperson and liaison (Bylaws, Article IV, Sec. 13 a).
   b. Coordination of the election of delegates for the U.S. Ethological Conference Committee pursuant to Bylaws, Article V, Section 1.

2. Forward slate of candidates to Secretary for publication in Newsletter.

POLICY (Section 5):

1. Nominations will be completed by June 15 and published in the August Newsletter.

2. Nominees will be introduced at the ABS Business Meeting.

ADDITIONAL:

1. Submit annual report plus the slate of candidates and resumes to the Executive Committee.

2. Coordinate follow-up correspondence after the elections, including that with SICB and USECC.

3. Send annual report and relevant materials to Historian. 

4. Update this "Duties" entry, submitting suggestions to Parliamentarian.
