Startup instructions for reviewers
You must first log in using your ABS username!
- Login with your ABS username and the password you created.
- If you are unsure of your ABS username you can have it e-mailed to the e-mail address the ABS Central Office has on file by using the link on the Log-in page.

- Take a look at the posting on the main ABS website called Important Login Information for Members
- Once you have your username, if you do not remember your password for that username, you can use the same link on the log-in page to create it again. The ABS CO does not know your password, it is under your control. Remember passwords should be at least 6 characters long.
- Once you are logged in you should see you full name at the top and text that says your account has been activated to review.
- Navigate to the Grant Administration folder and read the documents in the help folder.
- To see what grants you have been assigned for review, navigate to the Reviewer folder and then to the Folder with your name. In that folder will be two subfolders.
- A special folder called List of Grants for Review. This is the folder that will contain the grant applications assigned to you by the chair, click on the title of the grant application, it is a link, and that will take you to that application. (hint: it is often easier to keep two or more browser windows open so you do not have to navigate back and forth by opening and closing a single browser window)
- From the grant application download the proposal, C.V. and budget, print out the application form if needed (if any of these are missing please contact the chair asap)
- Once you are ready to review the specific grant - go to the other subfolder called Review Sheet Folder and create a document by clicking on Add ABSGrantReviewSheet2008. This will create a form to hold your review information. One form for each grant application you are assigned (note: This is the folder will hold all of your reviews.)
It is very important that you use the on-line grant review sheet for all your grant reviews. The information from these forms goes into our database where we can use the information to prepare final reports, evaluate all of the grant information from all the reviewers and allows us to e-mail your comments directly to the applicant from the comment box.
