Welcome to the ABS Research Awards Site: 2008

 

(a) STUDENT RESEARCH GRANTS, (b) E.O. WILSON CONSERVATION AWARD, (c) CETACEAN BEHAVIOR & CONSERVATION AWARD, and, (d) DEVELOPING NATION RESEARCH GRANTS

 

Applicants for any of the ABS-sponsored research grants may apply via a single application process.

Application materials should be submitted through this ABS website.

If you have problems please consult the "How To" items before using the contact link (at top) to contact the ABS Senior MAL via e-mail. Remember the Chair may be located in an area with a different date/time, the difference may play a role in how soon you may expect to receive a reply.

Applicants may apply for multiple grants/awards, but may receive only one.

Applicants who have received Student Grant monies in prior years are ineligible for those programs, but may apply for the Developing nations award, where appropriate.

You must have read and agree to abide by the ASAB/ABS Guidelines for the Use of Animals in Research (updated in each January issue of the Journal: Animal Behaviour. A copy (pdf) can be found at this link:

Once you have reviewed the example application, read the ASAB.ABS Guidelines from the link above and logged into the website with your ABS username, Go to the On-line application folder to start the on-line application process.


• If you are unable to submit a grant application electronically, you may print out and mail the  example application form.  Please note that electronic submission is strongly encouraged.  Mail in applications will only be accepted after prior approval by the senior MAL.  No exceptions.  Individuals unable to submit their applications through the website must contact the ABS Senior Member at Large (MAL), Regina H.
