Animal Behavior and Education
The Animal Behavior Society's Education Committee was formed to promote quality instruction and training in the area of animal behavior. This section of the Animal Behavior Society's website is maintained by the Animal Behavior Society Education Committee with help of the Animal Behavior Society's Central Office staff.
Current project's include:
- Papers and Articles such as the Significance of Animal Behavior Research
- Written by Dr. Charles Snowdon of the University of Wisconsin when he was president of the Animal Behavior Society, this short paper provides many examples of the intellectual and social usefulness of the field.
- The Animal Behavior Society's Outstanding Children's Book Award
- Established in 2001 in order to encourage and reward accurate and compelling authorship of children's books about animal behavior
- Plus ABS Educational Symposia
- Symposia and Invited Sessions sponsored by the ABS Education Committee for the annual meetings
