Latin American Initiative Announced

ABS recently launched a membership initiative in Latin America. To encourage greater participation by Latin American researchers, we have set up a special fund to sponsor memberships to researchers identified by our Latin American Affairs Committee.

To date, we have identified more than 70 Latin American researchers and students who would benefit from ABS membership but cannot afford it. Thus far we have matched nearly half of these with funds donated for the purpose, but these funds have now run out. If you would like to support this worthy cause, please contact Steve Ramey at aboffice@indiana.edu. Latin American student memberships can be sponsored for as little as $10.00 US per year. You may specify a particular person if you wish, or ABS will award your tax exempt donation to the next deserving person(s) on the list. We attempt to distribute these as evenly as possible throughout the region.
