Important Login Information for Members

Most pages do not require member login. On such pages your ABS username will NOT be recognized (unless you have an administration role for the page).

Please note that only a few ABS Pages presently require member login. Pages that do not require member login will NOT recognize your abs member username and are provided for administrative access only. If your abs username is not recognized by a page, this is most likely why (i.e. you do not need to log in for access to that page).

Pages that do require login consist of: the following:

I. Member Renewal and Membership Directory Pages

Until these are moved into the new framework, they require a general username/password combo, which can be found on the payment section of mailed renewal forms and can be requested from:

II. Research Grant Application, Voting, and Meeting Registration/Abstract Submission

When these pages are active, they require your permanent ABS username, which is shown on mailed renewal forms, in our new member Welcome message, and can be requested from:

          http://www.animalbehavior.org/ABSUserNameRequest/

For security reasons the ABS Central Office does not have access to passwords for ABS generated usernames. To set or reset your abs member password, please use the link provided on the login form that appears when you attempt to login from one of these restricted pages.

II. Online Journal Access (Animal Behaviour)

The online journal is maintained by Science Direct. To gain online access, you will first need to activate your account at Science Direct.

Your Elsevier Customer Reference number may be found on mailing labels of printed journals, or requested from the Central Office (aboffice@indiana.edu).

The Science Driect activation system will create a username for you and you'll enter a password for online journal access.
