Developing Nations Research Grant Application

Answer all questions. Answers must be typed or completed on a word processor. You may answer the longer questions on attached pages. Ensure that each page is clearly marked with your name and an indication of the question being answered. Type NA if the requested information is not applicable.

Please have your application critically reviewed for content and style by a colleague or advisor before submission. Our reviewers will assess the conceptual significance and intellectual merit of your proposal, so give the proposed work a clear conceptual context and theoretical rationale. Reviewers also judge the feasibility of the proposed work, so information about pilot data and relevant experience of the applicant and collaborators is helpful. If your work will be based on techniques that require special statistical justification, be sure to include information that will allow reviewers to evaluate this as well. Clearly state the hypotheses you are testing. Your proposal will compete with other highly original ones, and reviewers will judge the originality and feasibility of your proposal relative to others in the field of animal behavior.
